Nelumbo has built a unique technology platform to apply nanostructured coatings to a variety of physical products, making them both more valuable and environmentally sustainable. Clients work with us because we enable unique capabilities and performance normally only achievable on simple, small substrates through expensive technologies such as lithography. In contrast, Nelumbo is able to achieve similar material properties on complex geometry substrates for pennies per square meter of surface area.
Our current primary focus areas are on anti-ice, anti-corrosion, and condensate management coatings for HVAC-R applications, and in waterproof-breathable coatings for textiles applications. Within HVAC-R, we have products in residential/commercial heat pumps, industrial refrigeration, transport refrigeration, as well as automotive EV heat pumps.
