CANA is a woman-owned, veteran-owned small business with over twelve years of experience collaborating and working for Federal and commercial clients globally.  CANA is based out of Northern Virginia with many CANAers working virtually around the country.  CANA is “Powered by CANA Analytics™ which represents human capital, OUR PEOPLE.  CANA experts who create and connect customized analytics methods to data collection and systems integration, software applications - logistics warehouse, distribution, and transportation, SME’s using and applying analytics methods, logistics SME's and approaches to solve the hardest problems on the planet for our clients.  Our vertical market focus and expertise is on commercial smart cities public and private innovation pilots (urban mobility, electrification, IoT, underserved communities), logistics operations in industrial port, rail, multimodal transportation planning, mining, 3D manufacturing, and Federal Government logistics operations using data, unmanned systems, and maritime prepositioning assets.

CANA is well known for its dual-hatted experts - both logistician and data scientist/analyst - providing data-driven insights into logistics issues in both the military and commercial vertical ma.  Our commercial best technology practices include the use of both open source software (e.g. Java, R and Python) to develop custom solutions and commercial off the shelf (COTS) software (e.g. ExtendSim and OptDef) with reach back to product partners to evaluate and provide the best analytics and information-based solutions to our smart cities innovation clients and partners.  CANA directly applies the latest techniques to technology advancements in:

Data Analytics, Data and Systems Database Development

Description: Establish, maintain, and update analytic-quality data and databases (inputs and outputs) necessary to support analytic capabilities, studies, and assessments.


Modeling and Simulation (M&S) 

Description: M&S methods to design, develop, verify and validate solution capabilities to support multiple users use for logistics systems and operations analysis.  CANA's innovative capabilities include M&S tools, methods, data, and concept platforms and systems to inform operations investment decisions.  CANAers designs, develops, improves, programs, evaluates and integrates the current and next generation of analytic capabilities and tools that emphasizes modeling, simulation, wargaming and analysis in support of strategic, operational and resource decision making.


Data Quality & Health of Data Analytic Assessments

Description:  We analyze historical decision data, data framework, and analyze improvements to portfolio management to inform data structures for future operational decisions.  The CANA Health of Data Analytics Assessment is a client internal assessment and the best place to start when it comes to developing a successful new or existing analytics program.  We tie our clients strategy and planning to resource requirements and measures for effective performance, including recommendations on future investment plans using data and improve the process to maximize return on investments.


Logistics Automation

Description: CANA’s approach to warehouse and distribution automation focuses on configured web-based automation solutions, tailored to each warehouse and distribution specific needs - all without requiring large digital infrastructure investments.  We will establish, and update the environments, shipment management, optimization analysis of systems, processes, and interfaces (user, graphical, data, network, inbound/outbound, distribution, asset tracking, etc.).  


Smart Logistics Project Management:   We have a tiger team of PM integrators supporting smart city pilots in urban mobility, digital infrastructure - integration of smart technologies, IOT- data and systems integration and electrification.
