Gridscape is the leading developer of small to mid-sized renewable energy microgrid solutions in California and has commissioned/operates several microgrids for various municipal and commercial sites. It is focused on deploying state of the art Microgrid and EV charging solutions aimed at reducing overall energy cost for a site and providing backup clean emergency power during PSPS or other power disruption events. Cost Effective and clean backup emergency power has taken on a new meaning with several PSPS events during the last year.
Some of the benefits of solar microgrids are:
- No cash upfront investment and substantial lifetime energy cost savings; Cash flow positive from year one
- Clean Emergency backup power that can last hours and days in case of power disruptive events - substantial cost avoidance because of uninterrupted power supply
- Ready and compatible with EV charging stations
- Meets a business’s renewable energy goals
The Gridscape EnergyScopeTM microgrid system, proven in over 15 recent microgrid installations in other California public and commercial facilities, has pioneered the product centric approach of a microgrid. Gridscape Microgrid BESS system (“Microgrid-in-a-box”) contains all the necessary hardware and software (EnergyScope) pre-assembled in an outdoor rated enclosure so that it is easy to install and maintain. The enclosure box is modular and expandable. Most other microgrid providers deploy microgrid in “project-centric” (customized on site) approach that is inherently more complex, and costly. The Software based dynamic energy management and energy resiliency approach means that the system can be adjusted dynamically to account for changing tariff rules and other technological changes over the life of a microgrid so that the microgrid is never technologically obsolete.
