The Schatz Energy Research Center designs and deploys clean and renewable energy technologies, with special foci on microgrid development and energy access; conducts research and testing related to off-grid solar products, offshore wind, bioenergy, and the impacts of combustion-based energy systems in economically developing countries; and provides community-based and international planning and policy analysis.
The Schatz Center is located on the campus of Humboldt State University.
