ReJoule got started because
Steven Chung, our CEO, became frustrated during a project in graduate school where he had to create a model to forecast the batteries health. He thought he was doing something wrong because no model could forecast consistent results on the battery’s life. After asking around, he was simply told that was how it was done! He thought that was ridiculously wasteful - as more cars, trucks and homes are powered by batteries - we need a better way to understand battery life.
After graduating, Steven could not stop thinking about it and eventually came up with a ground-breaking idea - a unique design that miniaturizes and scales a leading lab technique for use in field applications. This can streamline battery health diagnostics across the battery's life cycle to dramatically improve lifetime and prediction of battery systems. This provides clarity where there was uncertainty helping our customers reduce the cost of battery validation during development, maintenance, and repurposing.
